Our founding story

My name is Dominique Waddoup and I’m initiator and founder of BirdShades. I hold a Master’s degree in Animal Behavior and I’m particularly interested to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts with evidence based products. Before founding BirdShades I investigated the thermal behavior of giant honeybees in Nepal and assisted with enclosure designs of modern Zoos.

BirdShades is our first product in the direction to offer a solution to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts and as soon as we have the opportunity, we plan to offer additional evidence based products for this fasctinating sector.

I am also a proud mother of a toddler and jugling, but also enjyoing the challenges and opportunities of being a startup founder and mother.
